"So faith Comes From Hearing, That Is, Hearing

The Good News About Christ," Romans 10:17 NLT

When you think of great faith, who do you think of? Is she or he a figure from the Bible like Abraham, who left his homeland when told by God, the woman with bleeding issues who touched Christ's robe, or Noah, who built the Arc well before it started raining?

Certainly, they all had great faith, but you can grow your faith too. How? By spending time in the Word. Daily is best, but as often as you can. If you don't know the Bible, start with one of the free reading plans available online. Just type Bible reading plans in your search engine, for example, Google or Safari). Many of these plans help you read through the whole Bible or New Testament in a year.

Another favorite is to start with the wisdom of Proverbs. It has 30 chapters, which, if you read one a day, can provide a month's reading. Along the way, you may have identified another reading interest. Or, simply open the Bible and start reading a chapter or verse daily. Genesis, the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and stories about Jesus are another good places to start.

As little as five minutes a day is a place to start.

The Bible will inspire you. But you have to read it (or hear it) to grow. If you'd prefer to listen, there are lots of free audible Bibles online. Try Youversion, Biblegateway or type free audio Bible in your search engine.

The Bible is the bestselling book of all time. It's wisdom, poetry, and history will inspire you like no other book.
